Our Story
Tea as It Was
Meant to Be
Eastern Peaks Tea was founded on a single conviction: the finest teas in the world grow in Nepal, and the world deserves to know it.
For decades, Nepal's teas were blended into mass-market products — their identity dissolved, their farmers undercompensated. The terroir of Ilam, the mineral complexity of Taplejung, the delicate first flush of Dhankuta: all of it lost in a bag, on a shelf, unnamed.
We started Eastern Peaks with a different model. Direct relationships with small-holder farm families. Above-market prices, paid on delivery. Full traceability from garden to tin. And a commitment to telling the story of every tea we sell — not just its flavour, but its place, its people, and its season.
The only challenge, historically, has been getting that tea to people who appreciate it. That is what we do.

"Nepal sits in one of the world's most extraordinary tea-growing belts. We are simply the channel that brings their work to your cup."
Eastern Peaks Tea — Founding Philosophy
What We Stand For
Principles We Won't Compromise
Direct Trade
We bypass brokers entirely. Our relationships are with the farmers themselves — and we publish the prices we pay.
Single Origin
Know the farm. Know the season. Know the leaf. Every Eastern Peaks tea is traceable to a single estate.
Altitude Grown
Our lowest garden sits at 1,400m. Most grow between 1,800m and 2,200m — where slow growth concentrates flavour.
Honest Packaging
No artificial blending. No flavour masking. If it doesn't taste exceptional on its own, it doesn't bear our name.
Farmer First
Above fair-trade rates, paid on delivery. We invest in farmer training and community development programs.
Seasonal Transparency
Each harvest is documented — yield, weather, processing method. Our customers know exactly what they're drinking.
